Reduced fare groups
The same fares are applied on all ordinary and reduced fare cards, with the amount specified in the current table of fares being debited when the card is validated upon boarding the vehicle.
The MUGI system provides bonuses up front, i.e. during the top-up operation the system awards extra credit depending on the type of card in question.
The real cost of travelling on the public transport system is therefore lower for those eligible for bonuses, thanks to the extra credit added during card top-up.
Bonus amounts/extra credit when topping up reduced fare cards
On reduced fare cards the MUGI system adds a bonus in the form of extra credit during top-ups.
Reduced fare groups:
- Young people (from 6 to 24 years, both included): 25% bonus
- Seniors (65 years or more): 108% bonus
- People with disabilities (65% disability or 7 in the mobility scale): 108% bonus
- Social: 108% bonus
- Large family:
- Standard category: 25% bonus
- Special category: 100% bonus
People in the Young, Senior, Disabled and Social groups may also be members of the 20 or 50 Large family (LF) group. In such cases, the following additional bonuses are applied:
- MUGI Young+ LF 20: 50% bonus (25 + 25)
- MUGI Senior + LF 20: 133% bonus (108 + 25)
- MUGI Disabled + LF 20: 133% bonus (108 + 25)
- MUGI Social + LF 20: 133% bonus (108 + 25)
- MUGI Young+ LF 50: 125% bonus (25 + 100)
- MUGI Senior + LF 50: 208% bonus (108 + 100)
- MUGI Disabled + LF 50: 208% bonus (108 + 100)
- MUGI Social + LF 50: 208% bonus (108 + 100)
